Change the Caller Screen on Android
1. Vani Caller Theme
Most of the phones do not have a native option to tweak or change the caller screen. So, we’re going to use a third-party app that lets you easily change it with multiple templates or use your own photo. Firstly, download the Vani Caller Theme app from the Play Store. Now open the app from the main menu.
When you first open the app, you’ll have to allow the app certain permissions for it to work properly. Hit allow when asked for the storage permissions, enable display over other apps, and a few others. Once you’re done, you’ll be automatically redirected to the app’s home page. On the home page, you can find all the theme groups, like abstract, live wallpapers, themes, and lastly a custom photo option. Tap onto any one of those theme groups. You’ll see a list of different templates that you can choose. To enable a template to replace your caller screen, tap on the + sign at the bottom as shown in the picture below.
After you tap on the + sign, the caller screen template will show you a preview. This is exactly what your caller screen will look like when you get a call. You’ve two options on this screen. You can either tap on set for all to make it the universal caller screen for any incoming call or tap on the contact + sign at the bottom to select a contact.
The second option is for anyone who loves to put a custom photo on the caller screen. To do that, tap on the just add your photo option from the home screen. Now open gallery from the pop-up menu and choose a picture of your choice. If you scroll through the caller themes, notice some of the themes are locked. You can unlock these by upgrading to the premium version of the app. It comes at $0.5/month, $1.5/3 months and a yearly subscription at $6. I hope you’re now able to change your caller screen on any Android device easily. Currently, there is no way but to use a third-party app, if you wish to change the caller screen. But I hope sooner or later, this feature will also be introduced. You can also get an iOS-style caller screen, but this app replaces your dialer as well.
